Join Lowcountry Local First at the Hippodrome on December 1st as we kick off Buy Local Week with a viewing of the film Paperback Dreams. PAPERBACK DREAMS is the story of two landmark independent bookstores and their struggle to survive. The film follows Andy Ross, owner of Cody’s Books, and Clark Kepler, owner of Kepler’s Books, over the course of two tumultuous years in the book business. The one hour film will be followed by a panel discussion including Jonathon Sanchez of Blue Bicycle Books, Patricia Giacinto fo Ravenous Reader, Michael Furlinger of the Terrace Theater and Hippodrome and moderated by Andrew Gowder.
Following the film local payroll company American Automated Payroll will be hosting an After Party in the Hippodrome Lounge!
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
